CARING FOR YOUR JEWELLERY

Keep all your jewellery separate so that they

            do not scratch one another.

Remove all jewellery when swimming as

chlorine may damage them.

Remove your jewellery while bathing or

showering as the soap causes a soapy film on

            jewellery.

Protect your jewellery from damage by

removing them while doing housework or

            gardening.

Have your jewellery checked and cleaned by a

professional jeweller at least once a year.

Keep your jewellery out of direct sunlight and fireplaces as the heat can cause your jewellery to fade.

When dressing up for work or going out always remember to put your jewellery on last, as hairspray, make-up can cause damage to your jewellery.

Do not wear too many chains at once as they can rub against each other and damage each of the chains.

When working with food, remove all jewellery as strong smelling foods can blemish your gold.

Try to clean your jewellery at least once a month by using warm soapy water with a soft toothbrush or buy a special cleaning product from your jeweller.

Wear your jewellery as often as possible as this keeps the metals bright.

Remove chains and bracelets when going to sleep to prevent them from breaking.

Check your jewellery for loose stones to prevent you from losing them.
