About The Jewellery Council of South Africa

The Jewellery Council of South Africa (JCSA) is the official representative body of the jewellery industry in South Africa. Established in 1973, the Council has worked for over 50 years to unite the industry, build consumer trust, and promote excellence in jewellery design, manufacturing, and trade.

Heritage & History

The South African jewellery industry traces its roots to the discovery of gold and diamonds in the late 19th century. For decades, the industry was heavily regulated, with jewellers required to be trained in design, making, setting, and polishing.
