Ring Size Guide
Updated 12/12/2025
Find the perfect fit for your ring.
Getting the right ring size is essential for comfort, security, and enjoyment. A ring that’s too tight is uncomfortable, and one that’s too loose may slip off. Use this guide to help you measure correctly and avoid resizing later.
How to Measure Your Ring Size
1. Visit a Jeweller
The most accurate method is to have your finger measured professionally using a jeweller’s ring sizer.
2. Use a Ring Sizing Chart
Print a ring size chart (ensure it’s set to 100% scale).
Place an existing ring on the circles until you find a perfect match.
Or use a paper strip/ring sizer tool around your finger, marking where it overlaps, then measure against a chart.
3. Tips for Measuring at Home
Measure at the end of the day — fingers swell slightly after daily activity.
Avoid measuring when cold, as fingers shrink in lower temperatures.
Your ring should slide on easily, but resist slightly when removed.
Ring Size Conversions
Different countries use different size systems (letters, numbers, or millimetres).
South Africa & UK: Alphabetical (A–Z).
US & Canada: Numeric scale (e.g. 4–12).
Europe: Circumference in millimetres.
💡 Tip: Always check whether your jeweller uses UK/SA sizes or US sizes when ordering online.
Common Sizing Questions
What if I’m between two sizes?
Choose the larger size for comfort, especially for wider bands.
Can rings be resized?
Most plain gold or platinum bands can be resized. Rings with intricate patterns or full stone settings may be more difficult.
Do different fingers have different sizes?
Yes — even between your left and right hand. Always measure the exact finger you intend to wear the ring on.
Does band width affect size?
Yes. Wider bands fit more snugly, so you may need to go up half a size.
